February 10th UJAMMA-K.D.C’s Community Drum Circle

UJAMMA – drum circle for all ages, $5

  • Feb 10th and March 17th 6 – 7:30pm. 
  • Lansdowne Village – Room 204, to the right of Booster Juice
  • UJAMMA is a family event drum circle that celebrates community, creativity, connection, and rhythm fun!

 DETAILS:

  • Fee is $5 per person 12 and older
  • Please bring the exact change
  • Family Rate is $10 / family of 4
  • Children must be with their parent
  • Wrists and hands must be free of jewelry
  • Handheld percussion instruments are there for your use
  • Drum rentals are available. Please reserve them.
  • Do not sit on drum heads
  • Do not bang (use stick) on goat skin or wood drums
  • You are welcome to dress up in a family friendly, fun, and fanciful way.
  • We’ll have hoops and percussion instruments and drums available.

Registration is needed – See Facebook Events under Kamloops Drum Connection or the dates Feb. 10th and March 17th.

Drums can be reserved.  The drum rental fee is by donation if you reserve your drum.

There’ll be a few extra drums there if you are late in registering. The fee for those unreserved drums is $5 for rental. Please reserve your drum as the concentration will be on bringing drums for those people that are registered and want to rent a drum.

AGENDA:  Community Music Circle of all ages and levels of talent. Percussion instruments, other personal instruments you bring, songs, games, dancing, hooping, and oodles and doodles of fun   FEE: $5 per person attending

Family Price is $10 for a family of two parents with children under 12 years of age.

Drum rentals are available by donation if you reserve a drum. . Reservations ensure there is a drum ready for you! Otherwise drum rentals are $5 for the drum circle time. Only a car load of extra drums are brought to the circle. Please reserve your drum, ,otherwise feel free to participate in the circle with other hand held percussion instruments.

Drum Reservation – You’ll need to register ahead of time with Raven at djembedjango@hotmail.com. With registration, drum rentals are by donation.

Reminder: Please remove all your wrist and hand jewelry and long necklaces.

Families are encourage to attend and introduce their family to a wonderful time with community and music. Children will be given soft shakers and smaller drums to keep the beat with the group. Please bring along a book or other sit and play items so their focus will work with the group’s music. Thank you.
