Local Drum Groups

  • UJAMMA – Kamloops Community Drum Circle  djembedjango@hotmail.com
  • This drum circle meets once or more monthly. Get connected to drum circle times, dates, and places by being a friend on KamloopsDrumConnection Facebook.
  • All welcome, beginners too! $5 circle fee, drum use is free or by donation if you register ahead of time.
  • Community centers are used –  date and venue info is by contacting Raven or checking Kamloops Drum Connection Facebook.
  • In the summer we sometimes go to Drummers Hill behind the Riverside Park Water Park or the park’s Band Shell, or sometimes in McDonald Park, or sometimes at Howling Rock out at Tranquille land area.
  • You will need a drum, a folding stool comfy for you and your drum,  and a water bottle, and some $ if you are renting or paying for an indoor circle time.
  •  Call Raven to rent a drum, inside circle – circle fee is $5 and drum use is by free or by donation if you reserve a drum, outside circle – circle fee is by donation and drum use is $5
  • May, June, July, Aug. drum times – will be spontaneous, check out your email, this website, and the Kamloops Drum Connection Facebook page.

  • This drum circle meets bi weekly for about 10 months of the year in a private home, by invite only due to space and intermediate /advanced level of drumming.
  • This group focuses on jamming fun and on skill levels.

  • Djembe Django is a group of drummers of 5 – 15 who perform for many community events. They perform cultural music, African Ensembles, and groove to original rhythms!

  • This small percussion group of 4-6 drummers meets twice a month to jam, play root music, and to create original ensembles.
  • Rhythm Rhyders perform where a small drum group may be needed and perform to bounce a new kind of wave into the air!

K.D.C. BEATNIKS  – Fee $5

  • This drum circle meets bi weekly for about 8 months of the year, the venue changes. A phone call to Raven is needed for venue info. 250 318 0963
  • This drum circle is open to all levels of drumming and anyone interested in trying out the drum and seeing what this great group is all about.
  • When the drum circle is ready for a big scene with greater numbers of people it is moved to a community center, this is the UJAMMA drum circle.
  • The K.D.C. Beatniks have fun setting intention, rhythm  jamming, and learning drum skills! It is a great community time with beautiful people!
