About ORF’12

The Okanagan Rhythm Festival (ORF) is a celebration of world drumming, percussion, and rhythmic music and dance. With two days of performances, workshops, drum and dance parties, and drum circles, ORF is one festival you will not want to miss in the BC Interior. ORF brings together musicians, dancers and participants from throughout the Okanagan and the Kamloops area for a fun and energetic community event. Friday evening will kick off the Okanagan Rhythm Fest with a Showcase Performance and a Late Night DJ Trance Drum and Dance party. Saturday will focus on drum circles, workshops, then ending with a Salsa Dance Party. We are very excited to welcome Julio Monteiro from Vancouver to our day of workshops! He will be holding a workshop on Capoeira. Instruments are available within workshops on a first come first serve basis, however we encourage you to bring your own or borrow from a friend. Expecting over 400 participants for our third annual festival, ORF’12 promises to be bigger and better than ever! A special thanks to Big O Tires for their generous support of the Okanagan Rhythm Fest.
