Due to heavy rain up on Sun Peaks, KDC’s drum time as been cancelled.
We’ll be there next Thursday July 27th 3 – 5 pm , upper village wooden stage.
Djembe Django performs at 1 pm in Riverside Park – Bandshell.
Come out and support the Salvation Army’s Food Drive.
The event goes from 11 – 4 pm in Riverside Park. There is entertainment all day. Please bring donations of food and support community.
Hunger Heroes Fundraising Concert
WE had one on July 6th and the next one is July 14th !!! There’s a drum opportunity in downtown Kamloops. We’d love to have you drop by and put your beat in the street. 2 hours of community time. WOWZA! 5:30 – 7:30 . Shady side of the street by CIBC on third and Victoria. We hope to have fans there is there’s electricity with with the Kamloops Street team. Free Drum Circle to celebrate Canada 150! #canada150drumming;
Join “Kamloops Drum Connection” in opening the stage time for the Kamloops Arts’ Council’s Canada 150 Celebrations.
This is a fun informal circle, we are drumming up a hum about the KAC’s festivities and presenting united beats on a Canada 150 theme.
No experience is needed. This is a facilitated circle time.

DETAILS: July 1st in Riverside Park between the Sandman Centre and the playground. Go to the front of the “Grass Stage” area in front of Booth #40 belonging to the Kamloops Arts’ Council.
TIME: 11 a.m. until 12:10.
JOIN IN: 12 chairs and 12 drums and then duns and cajons will be set up in a circle along with many hand held percussion instruments. There’ll be room for dancing in the middle. All ages are welcome.
You are welcome to bring your own drum chair and drum.
Festive wear in the Canadian theme is welcome.
I’m so excited about this group pulse celebrating Canada 150 and for KDC’s new groove called “United Drum Canada 150”. The beats will be fantastic!

“Every Person Fits Differently ” Benefit Concert for the Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism will take place on Friday, March 31st, ’17 at 7 pm at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 360 Nicola Street, Kamloops, B.C. *Featured in this concert will be Cantabile Singers, Musical Chimers, Kamloops Drum Connection, saxophonist Carmen Ranta, and organist Gail Ovington. A very unique and special feature will be visual artist Parm Armstrong, who will complete a canvas presentation during the concert.
$ Admission is by donation.

We had about 30 participants that drum time. Families came out to start off the Easter weekend!
March 17th was a big success!

Kamloops Drum Connection has a Free Drum Circle for the Boogie the Bridge Event.
We start early at 8:15 and play to just after 11. We drum in shifts and play percussion instruments when your hands need a rest. We drum and call to the Boogie participants and cheer them on!
